Free Wills Service

If you, or your partner, are aged 55 or above, you could have your Will written for free by one of the solicitors participating in our Free Wills Service.

There’s no requirement to leave a gift to Julia’s House in order to benefit from this – although if you do choose to do so, you’ll be helping us to carry on offering our respite service to many more families in the future.

There are over 30 participating solicitors throughout Dorset and Wiltshire – to find your closest one, see the document at the foot of this page. As long as your Will is relatively straightforward, it won’t cost you a penny; for more complex Wills, there may be extra charges – but your solicitor will discuss this with you at an early stage, before any costs are incurred.

How does the Free Wills service work?

It couldn’t be easier – there are just three simple steps:

  • Choose which of the solicitors is most convenient for you to visit. A list of participating solicitors can be downloaded at the foot of this page.
  • Contact the firm of your choice, and explain that you want to make an appointment under the Julia’s House Free Wills Service. They’ll make all the necessary arrangements to see you at a time that’s convenient for you.
  • After you’ve completed and signed your Will, the solicitor will ask you to fill in a simple form that helps us to measure how well the service is working.
