We want every child to have the chance to play and every parent to feel confident about playing with their child – we don’t want illness to be a barrier to experiencing this simple pleasure.
Our Playworkers visit families at home to carry out an assessment and then write up a tailored plan that helps them use play for fun, but also for reaching goals like helping a child’s development, or making something medical seem a less scary.
Every family receives a yellow bag containing specialist toys and a simple step-by-step guide and every member of a child’s Julia’s House team will be able to incorporate this play in their care sessions.
