Make a Difference Behind the Scenes – Volunteer in Our Devizes Shop

Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospice charity, is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the friendly team at our shop in Devizes.

Our shops play a vital role in raising funds for local children and families, and it all starts in the stock room. This is where donations are sorted, prepared, and made ready for the shop floor, turning generous gifts into essential care and support.

We’re currently looking for volunteers who can lend a hand on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. If you have a few hours to spare and enjoy keeping busy, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Sorting and organising incoming donations
  • Preparing items for display on the shop floor
  • Helping keep the stock room tidy and efficient
  • Playing a key part in the journey from donation to sale

Why Volunteer With Us?

Volunteering is more than just giving your time, it’s a chance to:

  • Build confidence and learn new skills
  • Reduce stress and stay active
  • Meet new people and feel part of a team
  • Gain valuable experience for your CV
  • Have fun while doing something meaningful

What We’re Looking For

No experience is needed—we’ll provide all the training you need. All you need is:

  • A friendly, positive attitude
  • Reliability and a willingness to learn
  • A team-focused approach

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to be part of something truly worthwhile, we’d love to hear from you.
