A poem written by Lauren supports this design. The key line: “I breathe with the waves and the waves breathe with me"" wraps playfully around the tail.
The viewer must circle the whole tail to read the line, with the end of it finishing with the viewer facing out to sea to watch the waves. Lauren hopes this moment of interaction can support the wellbeing of many who pass by.

Lauren is an artist, illustrator and poet living in Poole. She is known for working in a striking monochromatic palette and her work often centres around her mindful appreciation for the natural world.
