Shelley Perry
Shelley is a teacher and artist, living and working in Bournemouth.

After taking a leap of faith to become a full time artist, Shelley has enjoyed working with local businesses on creative projects where she shares a common view on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle through eating well and getting involved in the wider community. She wants her work to inspire younger generations to get outside, have fun and make art! Shelley’s first solo exhibition can be seen at Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre in April 2025.

Getting involved in The Great Tail Trail is a real honour, and being able to support such an amazing, local charity is incredible. I love spending time with my family outdoors; you can often find us on a remote part of the Dorset coastline somewhere, soaking up the natural beauty of where we are so lucky to live, and sketching along the way. Spending time outdoors with loved ones is so important to my wellbeing and is my main source of inspiration for painting. This is therefore, the perfect opportunity for my work to inspire young artists and encourage people to get outside and actively participate!
