Gill Prendergast

Gill is a designer-maker from North Wales who makes fun, bright textile art and sculptures which she sells worldwide. 

The natural world and love of the ocean are often her main source of inspiration, along with a desire to create bold and colourful designs to put a smile on faces. She has a background in large scale prop making for theatre and now utilises these skills to work on larger, fun projects like the Wild in Art sculpture trails.

‘Oceana’ takes inspiration from the wonderfully varied colours of the sea that surrounds us, from ultramarine to aqua, turquoise to teal. There is something truly hypnotic about gazing out over the ocean, represented here in a mosaic style pattern.
