Ellie Newbury
Ellie is an artist and illustrator from the Dorset coast, with a love of nature and outdoor adventure.
Ellie’s artwork is hugely inspired by the natural world, featuring calming, colourful images that brighten up the lives of the people who view them.
She has two mermaid tails in The Great Tail Trail. The first, a calming and serene mermaid tail, is inspired by beautiful sunsets, as people and marine life enjoy the last moments of a beautiful day on and in the sea.
The second tail features a bright and colourful array of marine creatures as they swim and flow through the ocean, dancing their way in a fluid motion across and around the tail sculpture formation.
I love bringing joy and inspiration to people via my artwork and I think there can be no better way to do this than by painting my designs onto giant mermaid tails! Working on a large, unusually shaped canvas is such a fun challenge and it is wonderful to help promote and raise money for Julia’s House, which offers amazing support for our local children and their families.
