Amy Wormald
Amy creates vibrant paintings with spray paint and acrylic, using tangy neons and compelling contrasts to capture the beauty and energy of nature.

Her paintings sell to collectors around the world and are full of energy to evolve the senses. She was inspired to create a design for The Great Tail Trail because she is interested in making work that is accessible to the widest possible audience, and loves that the sculptures will be enjoyed by all ages for free.

Amy’s tail is inspired by wildflowers found in the BCP area, including sea campion, purple orchid, knapweed and thrift. She hopes her design will bring joy and encourage others to notice the beauty of the world around us.

I love the fact that The Great Tail Trail can be enjoyed by people of all ages in public spaces. My design is a celebration of colour, inspired by wildflowers found in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. It has been a privilege to create this piece in support of Julia’s House who do such essential and inspiring work with families.
