Last Christmas, we shared the story of Skye – a cheeky, music-loving little girl who suddenly lost her ability to walk and talk due to a mysterious genetic condition. Her family were told to make memories while they still could, and they feared it could be their last Christmas together.
A year on, we're delighted to share that six-year-old Skye continues to surprise everyone with her determination and joyful spirit.
"It's been a busy few months here," says mum Sophie. "I recently attended Skye's sports day! It feels crazy just saying that out loud."
Thankfully, there has been no decline in Skye's condition, although her family are continuing to navigate new challenges.
