Deputy Chief Executive of Julia’s House as of January 2020, Mike began his career in the charity sector at Oxfam in a marketing role.
For 16 years Mike continued his career in events and corporate fundraising, before taking up senior roles driving overall income development as part of senior leadership teams at several UK-based charities.
Mike was appointed Julia’s House Development Director in 2008, leading our income generation activity for five years, overseeing a period of significant growth. In 2013 Mike moved to head up fundraising at a national health and medical research charity before joining a fundraising consultancy to offer strategic consultancy to charities across the UK. During this period Mike was invited to speak at fundraising conferences up and down the country and trained hundreds of fundraisers and trustees.
Mike was welcomed back in 2020 as DCEO to take on the responsibility for fundraising and retail in both Dorset and Wiltshire as well as driving forward innovation across the charity.
