Lisa Johnston and her husband Jason live in Dorset with their five children. Their youngest child, Kitty, nine, has Kabuki Syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder which affects her muscle tone and mobility. For many years her condition meant she needed the support of Julia's House. Two of her siblings, Poppy and Reuben are Young Ambassadors for us, promoting the charity which helped their sister.
Lisa was previously a Parent Trustee and a speaker at the Parliamentary reception to launch Bournemouth University research findings into how frequent respite can reduce parental relationship breakdown.
