David was appointed as Commercial Trustee for Julia’s House in 2024.

Having attended school locally in Broadstone and Corfe Mullen David joined Marks and Spencer, spending 23 years leading both store and food buying teams, in the UK and internationally. Following a Commercial Director role with Planet Organic, David joined Boots where he held Regional and Divisional leadership roles throughout the UK. As Managing Director for Morleys Department Stores, David led the independent retailer’s growth through redevelopment, acquisition, and by placing colleagues and customers at the heart of the business. More recently David has completed consulting, advisory and interim leadership roles, including as Trading Director for Selecta Group, throughout Europe.

A proud father of five, David’s two older children are both medical professionals. He lives with his wife Rachel and three young children in Lyme Regis.

“Julia’s House is a charity very close to the heart of our family, supported over many years through fundraising, donations and more recently through the gift-in-wills of my late parents. I am looking forward to using my experience, through working as Commercial Trustee to support this wonderful charity.”
