Christmas has arrived with a sprinkling of festive magic in Julia’s House shops across Dorset and Wiltshire. We're ready to welcome Christmas shoppers to our chain of high street shops, with seasonal displays, decorations for your home and gifts for the family all under one roof.
Pre-loved Christmas gifts have seen an explosion in popularity recently, and with high profile media personalities such as Money Saving Expert’s Martin Lewis urging us to shop frugally, there has never been a better time to browse your local charity shop for that perfect present for a loved one.
“Sustainable shopping is big news right now,” confirms Julia’s House retail manager, Tracy Stanley. “In October alone we sold 63.473 items – that’s 63,473 items that would otherwise have ended up in landfill. It really makes you think! Many of the items we sell are second-hand, but many have never been used. There are loads of as-new bargains to be found across all thirteen of our shops in Dorset and Wiltshire, including clothes, accessories, homeware, electrical items, toys and games, books and much more. Shopping with Julia’s House is a great way to make a positive contribution towards the environment while helping local families who desperately need our support.”
We also stocks our own range of Christmas cards, a 2022 diary and a wall calendar featuring beautiful photography of locations across the two counties. All items sold through our shops raises money to help the families of seriously ill children who may not live into adulthood.
Earlier this year we opened our thirteenth shop in Chippenham and now have ten shops in Dorset and three in Wiltshire. We're known for our trademark boutique style interiors designed using reclaimed materials and quirky fixtures and fittings, which have played a role in transforming the look and feel of charity shops locally.
The rise in demand for sustainable clothing recently prompted us to launch a section dedicated to vintage brands at our flagship superstore in Creekmoor, Poole, alongside our already popular wedding dress boutique.
