It will soon be snowing in Devizes, thanks to the teams at Devizes Christmas Trees and Zelf!

This weekend the Wiltshire-based businesses are creating a Santa’s Grotto and winter wonderland – complete with a snow machine – to help raise festive spirits and essential funds for Julia’s House children’s hospice.

Along with hundreds of real Christmas trees on sale, visitors to Zelf’s Hopton Industrial Estate location can enjoy a trip to meet Father Christmas on 10th, 11th and 17th December.

And for every Christmas tree sold, or visit to see the jolly man in red, a donation will be made to Julia’s House to help support our lifeline of care for seriously ill children.

Kevin Harris, the Managing Director of Zelf Moving Solutions who are supporting Devizes Christmas Trees this year, said, “Julia’s House is amazing with what they do, brightening up the lives of children that have been dealt such a bad hand. We are trying to sell Christmas trees and also whilst doing so give something back to charity.”

The teams at Zelf and Devizes Christmas Trees have also kindly donated a real Christmas tree to sit outside the Julia’s House children’s hospice building in Devizes.

Jo Common, Julia’s House Fundraiser, said, “We’re so grateful to everyone at Zelf and Devizes Christmas Trees for raising money for Julia’s House this Christmas. We rely almost entirely on donations to fund our lifeline of care for seriously ill children and their families across Wiltshire, so every pound raised makes such a difference.

“The children and families we support will be so pleased to see our newly decorated tree welcoming them to the hospice this month. Life can be very dark and lonely when you’re caring for child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, so it’s wonderful to be able to bring light to these families and especially at Christmas time.”

Devizes Christmas Trees will have a wide range of real Christmas trees on sale at the Zelf site off Hopton Road until 23rd December. For every Christmas tree that is sold, a donation of £3 will be made to Julia’s House. Every person who buys a tree will gain free entry to the Santa’s Grotto on 10th, 11th, and 17th December. Those who have not bought a tree can still visit Father Christmas in his grotto for a £3 donation.
