Actor and TV presenter Chris Jarvis joined more than a thousand egg-cited children at our first Easter trail, hosted in the grounds of Wilton House.

The CBeebies ‘Show Me, Show Me’ star has been our Patron for a number of years.

Julia's House provides essential respite care for the most seriously ill children and their families across Wiltshire and Dorset and we're almost entirely reliant on donations to fund our vital service.

“Everyone is made to feel so incredibly welcome at Julia’s House – I feel honoured to be a Patron and supporter,” says Chris. “As well as all the amazing work going on, there’s a magical aura that raises spirits and plants smiles on faces.  For our most special children needing expert and loving care, and for those families and siblings who need respite, I cannot imagine a better place!”

Chris completed the Easter Bunny and the Lost Toys trail with Johnathon and his family, who are cared for by Julia’s House. The presenter also handed out chocolate prizes to other children taking part.

Running from Monday 11 April to Easter Monday 18 April, in the first week of Wilton House Grounds opening this year, the beautifully illustrated trail was completed by around 1,600 egg-seeking youngsters.

The special Easter event, which raised more than £7,000, also featured a bouncy castle, teddy tombola, face painting and more activities at the Julia’s House family tent.

"We're incredibly grateful to everyone who took part and for all of the amazing volunteers that helped to make our first Easter trail a success," says Julia's House Events Fundraiser Chantelle Shave.

Set in 21 acres of landscaped parkland beside the River Nadder and Palladian bridge, Wilton House is home to the 18th Earl and Countess of Pembroke. Within the extensive grounds, visitors can discover a large adventure playground, woodland walks, rose and water gardens and an airy Café and gift shop. This country house near Salisbury is also a popular filming destination, currently starring as multiple residences in the second season of the Netflix period drama, Bridgerton.
