Have you ever considered a career in children’s palliative care? If so, there’s a chance to learn more about the opportunities available with Julia’s House at a recruitment open morning on Friday 17 June.

You’ll get to meet and chat with the Julia’s House team at the charity’s hospice in Corfe Mullen, and discover the nursing vacancies within bands 4-7 that are currently available in Dorset.

Lead Nurse Ron Truswell says, “If you are committed to developing your clinical skills and would like a role that gives you the time to care for children and their families in the hospice or out in the community, we’d love to see you at this event. There are many fantastic benefits to being a Julia’s House nurse, including a competitive salary with NHS Agenda for Change pay scales, NHS pension scheme, excellent training and development opportunities and an Employee Assistance programme.”

In addition to nursing vacancies, you can find out about opportunities to join the dedicated team of carers at Julia’s House.

Tea and cake will be available to enjoy while you consider your change of career at this friendly and welcoming event.

Julia’s House was rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in December 2021 and was recently named Charity of the Year in the national Great British Business and Community Awards.

A local charity, Julia’s House supports families across Dorset who have children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, providing clinical care, respite and emotional support, as well as emergency end-of-life care and bereavement support. Parents can choose when, where and how they receive their support – at home, in the hospice or out in the community –making it a truly flexible service and a varied working environment for its nurses and carers.

The recruitment morning runs from 10.30am until 12.30pm. If you would like to attend please register your interest by emailing hr@juliashouse.org or call 01202 389837.
