As a Board of Trustees we are committed to role modelling and championing diversity.

We want to build teams that are as diverse as the children and families we serve. We’ll do this by recognising that differences aren’t barriers for us to overcome - they are the things that make us interesting and remarkable.

We believe that diversity is about making the workplace for everyone, where our people feel they have the freedom to be themselves.

Through our two Board Diversity Champions we’ll seek out diversity best practice and measures. It’ll be used to review how we’re doing as a Board, make changes as necessary and then monitor our performance.

We’re here to support the Senior Leadership Team in Julia’s House to build on the great work that’s already been done and deliver their ambitious Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. We also want to provide a forum for healthy debate and conversations about how Julia’s House becomes a beacon of diversity within the sector.
