Julia’s House is your local children’s hospice, looking after the most seriously ill children and their families in the community and at the charity’s hospice buildings in Devizes and Corfe Mullen.

We rely almost entirely on donations to provide our vital care, so the funds raised by our shops make a huge difference – and it’s only thanks to our team of volunteers that the doors can stay open and welcome shoppers regularly throughout the week.

Helping hands are needed on the tills and behind the scenes, sorting donations in many of our High Street shops, including Chippenham, Devizes, Salisbury, and a brand new shop opening in Market Place in Warminster on 20th October.

Anneka Grayson, Volunteer Co-ordinator for Julia’s House, said, “We’re lucky to have an incredible team of volunteers of all ages, and we’re looking for more people to join us. Volunteering has lots of benefits, from building confidence and gaining work experience, to making friends and having fun. It’s also a great feeling to be supporting your local community and will make all the difference to the seriously ill children and families we care for locally.”

She added, “There are lots of volunteering roles and new ones coming up all the time, so we’d love to hear from anyone who has a few hours to spare. And you don’t have to have experience to be a volunteer at Julia’s House, as we provide all the training you’ll require.”
