Dorset manufacturer Superior has raised an incredible £113, 128.60 since it began supporting Julia’s House back in 2008.
Last year alone the company raised £15,000 for our hospices through a host of activities spearheaded by its fundraising organisers, Sue Byrne, Heather Marchment and Katie Bodman, whose enthusiasm has spread throughout the whole team at Superior.
Activities have included the Tough Mudder challenge, Dorset Plane Pull and the Rotary Dorset Bike Ride. Katie Bodman, Head of Superior’s Appprenticeship Academy is already signed up to take on the Great Wall of China Trek this year after completing the arduous Alps Trek in 2018, in which she raised £1,435.
Tim Brown, managing director at Superior, said: “We’re delighted to have raised this money for Julia’s House and help fund breaks for families facing tough challenges every single day.”
However, it’s not just financial support that Superior has given to Julia’s House. The company sponsors our Extra Mile Campaign, which helps raise vital funds for local schools as well as for our families. Its award-winning Apprenticeship Academy makes the medals for participating schools in addition to attending their events.
Sue Miles, Business Fundraiser for Julia’s House said, “I simply can’t thank Tim and everyone at Superior enough for their support. The effort you have put into fundraising is amazing and the level of your support has made a huge difference to Julia’s House and ultimately the families we support. We feel very privileged that you have chosen to support us.”
