We’re going to have a very crafty Christmas!

The Works have chosen Julia’s House for their charity ‘Gift Drive’ for the past three years, starting with the Weymouth store and now expanding to the Dorchester, Bridport and Salisbury stores.

Julia’s House carer Cathy Alford spoke with the stores and let them know what our children love and use the most - items such as paints, craft supplies, funny books and fidget toys. The stores then keeps these items in a basket next to their tills. They ask every customer whether they would like to donate an item to Julia’s House and if so, they choose a gift and pay for it with their shopping. The gifts are then distributed between the children we look after in the hospices and the community.

Julia’s House has received over £3,000 worth of gifts during the last month, and with the gift drive running until the end of December we hope to receive even more!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to The Works for supporting Julia’s House with this brilliant initiative, and to everyone who has bought a gift and brightened the lives of the children we care for.
