The Julia’s House charity shop in Broadstone is moving – but only a few doors further down Lower Blandford Road.
The current shop, at number 214D will close on Thursday, 19th January and reopen at number 184D on Wednesday, 1st February. The new premises, next door to Forum Jewellers, will be much bigger, offering the chance to sell a wider range of women’s and men’s clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, books and toys.
“We are really excited about the new shop,” said Julia’s House Retail Manager Tracy Stanley. “It will have a completely fresh look with lots of modern fittings and display areas – it will have a real boutique feel to it.
“Our Broadstone shop has been in the town for more than a decade and has a very loyal following. We are sure our supporters there will be delighted by the new, improved store and apologise for being out of action for a few weeks while we get everything ready.”
In the meantime, shoppers are invited to visit the charity’s flagship store in nearby Creekmoor which is home to its large furniture showroom and central warehouse. Staff there will be happy to take donations for Broadstone.
Julia’s House is looking for extra volunteers for the new shop and would love to hear from anyone who can spare a little time to help, perhaps during school hours. To volunteer please call 01202 644220 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Updates on store progress will be posted on the Julia’s House Facebook page
