We're please to announce the opening of a new shop in Shaftesbury later this month. We already have nine shops across Dorset and two in Wiltshire.
The new store on Shaftesbury’s High Street will be officially opened at 10am on 29 March by Julia’s House Chief Executive Martin Edwards. One of the families supported by the charity will proudly perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Shop Manager Tammy Sweet commented: “We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Shaftesbury shoppers and invite them to pop in to meet our friendly team and have a browse through some of the amazing items we have in stock. We’re also keen to speak to anybody who would be interested in volunteering with us.”
The Shaftesbury shop will be open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm and will feature a wide range of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as bric-a-brac, toys and homeware. Julia’s House shops are known for their distinct ‘boutique’ style and have played a part in transforming the look and feel of charity shops locally.
“We are accepting donations of good quality smaller items at the Shaftesbury shop but can also arrange to collect larger items including furniture and electrical goods,” explains Tammy.
Drop-in sessions for anybody interested in volunteering roles will be held between 11am and 2pm on 13th and 19th March – for more information please contact Liz Froud on 01202 644220.
