The Julia’s House Salisbury Friends’ Group have raised more than £11,000 in one night after hosting a ball at the Stones Hotel.
Julia’s House Wiltshire Ambassador Clare Perry MP was among the 120 guests who were treated to a bubbly reception and a three-course meal, followed by entertainment from Disco Dion, local dance group Starcast, five-piece band Innervision and Britain’s Got Talent, semi-finalist, impressionist Craig Ball.
There was an auction plus a ‘£10 envelope wall‘ which was a big success, selling out in 10 minutes and offering prizes from hairdressing appointments to a paintballing day-out for five. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated auction and raffle prizes.
Jan Burns, Community Fundraiser said: “It was a spectacular evening and we’re absolutely thrilled with what was raised, especially so soon after Christmas. A huge thank you to all the organisations and businesses who kindly donated auction and envelope prizes, without which we wouldn’t have been able to raise such a fantastic amount.”
