Our very first Christmas Artisan Market in Devizes proved a festive hit, with the local community filling the venue with Christmas cheer in support of Julia's House.

Held at Braeside Education Centre on Sunday 16th November, the event raised more than £2,300 to help provide specialist care for seriously ill children and support for their families.

More than 30 local stallholders showcased their handcrafted gifts, festive treats and artisan creations.

One of the highlights was the sold-out wreath-making workshop, which proved to be a popular mother-daughter activity. Local supporter Stacey, gifted the workshop as an early Christmas surprise for her mum, Gill.

“We looked at a few wreath-making workshops and decided to go for this one because the money goes to the Julia's House charity,” Stacey says. “It's been nice to spend time doing something different together. We're going to a festive show later, so it's felt like a really Christmassy day!”

Julia’s House Fundraiser, Claudia Hazelton, says, “We were absolutely delighted with the response to our first Christmas Artisan Market. The atmosphere was full of warmth and festive joy, and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting the families cared for by Julia’s House. We couldn’t have made this event a success without the support of our event Sponsor, Kingstons Estate Agents, and our amazing volunteers and stallholders. Their commitment helped create a truly memorable day for the community and for Julia’s House.”

A special thank you also to Grist Environmental, Braeside Education Centre and Flowers & Twine, Tisbury, for their support.
