Our elves have been incredibly busy over the last week, braving cold, icy conditions and even snow to collect and recycle Christmas Trees throughout Dorset and Wiltshire.

Helped by a team of volunteers from local business and community groups, we collected 1330 trees in Dorset and 605 trees in Wiltshire between 11th and 13th January, raising a fantastic £27,305 in total to support Julia’s House families across the two counties.

It’s the fourth year Julia’s House has run its tree collection service, and its success lies in the kindness and generosity of several local companies and community groups listed below who give their time, equipment and transport to help Julia’s House staff and volunteers.

We’d also like to thank individual regular volunteers John Killingback, Alison King, and John and Maggie Blake, who helped on the day and all the Julia’s House volunteers who hand-delivered leaflets in the lead up to Christmas.

The promotion of this year’s Julia’s House Christmas tree collection was kindly sponsored by Jane James & Associates, Lexus Swindon, The Fencing Centre and Eco Sustainable Solutions.

Huge thanks goes to the following companies for their support during the collection itself:

Foray Motors, Norco Composites & GRP, Up Top Roofing & Scaffolding, Osprey Packs, DC Property Solutions, Mallwood Roofing, Framework Media, Hooke Highways Ltd, DB Schenker, South Coast Traffic Management, Avon Material Supplies, Get Up and Bounce, Rockley, Beach Bum Club, Economy Hire, Enterprise, Yammayap, Atlas, Vinyl Solutions, MSP Capital Ltd, Forvis Mazars, Bournemouth Carpets, Planks Farm Shop, The Farm at Avebury, Alpharod, Beard Construction, CD Fencing & Construction Services, Pinnacle Group Limited, Renelec Groundworks Ltd, P&D Manufacturing, Sporting Bears, Adventure Pirate and Milestone Infrastructure.
