Following Christmas, we are asking people who have unwanted gifts or are having a post-festive clear out to consider donating their items.
Our shops can make good use of unwanted gifts, recycling them for sale and raising much-needed funds for the families we support.
Items in good saleable condition can be taken to any of our shops, but it is easier to drop off larger items at our flagship shop in Creekmoor, which has ample free parking.
Brand new items can also be dropped off at our fundraising office in Barclays House, Poole, this includes sealed boxes of chocolatea and alcahol which are great for is to use in raffles and other fundraising activities.
“We would be really grateful for any great condition, unwanted items for our shops to give our sales a boost to start the year. The only items that we can’t take at this time of year is artificial Christmas trees because we just don’t have room to store them. However, if anyone is willing to hold on to their tree for us until November, that would be really appreciated,” said Julia’s House retail manager, Tracy Stanley.
All of the Julia’s House shops need volunteers and anyone interested in lending a hand for a couple of hours a week, should contact June Jones on 01202 644220.
