Jurassic Coast

Saturday 11th September 2021

With some serious climbs and descents on this spectacular 26 mile Jurassic Coast trek, this route will reward you with some of the most breath-taking views of this dramatic coastline. We’ll explore some of the most scenic sections of the South West Coast Path, including Kimmeridge Bay, St Aldhelm’s Head and Dancing Ledge.

We’ll rest and recharge with a celebration of our achievement - a delicious meal and glass of fizz!

How to get involved

Registration fee: £30
Start: 7.30am at The Bankes Arms, Studland (this is a circular route)
Distance: 26 miles

Your registration fee includes: A qualified guide to lead the way, support staff and a celebratory meal at the Scotts Arms to mark the day.

This hike is limited to 30 participants so book early to guarantee your place.

Hike for Wondergirl Carmela

Carmela has muscular dystrophy, meaning her muscles weaken progressively as she gets older. However she doesn't let it get in the way. Carmela is a keen horse-rider and swimmer, although sadly during the COVID pandemic, her lessons have been cancelled.

Without her usual school routine, exercise and therapy sessions over lockdown, Carmela has found mobility more challenging and it has also meant she is in almost constant pain.

Julia’s House has kept Carmela smiling with regular visits to her home to provide emotional support and respite care, plus lots of laughter and even dressing up! Carmela tries to stay upbeat but it has been hard at times.
