Based at Julia’s House (Main Office) – Barclays House, Poole
This is a permanent position to assist within the Finance Team in the day to day processing and preparation of monthly accounts in our busy Finance department.
Excellent computer skills (including Sage Line 50 Accounts, Microsoft Excel and Word)
AAT or other financial qualification essential
Practice in processing and reconciling daily transactions needed
The ability to prepare and process accruals and prepayments is required
A sound understanding of VAT is essential
Understanding of Retail Gift Aid and the retail industry in general would be advantageous
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail needed, together with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
Excellent interpersonal skills required, with the ability to work well in a team under minimal supervision
Duties to include:
Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
Reconciliation of monthly balance sheet control accounts
Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable and ensuring all VAT is accounted for correctly
Ensuring all income and expenditure is accurately processed in the nominal ledger
Processing and reconciliation of all shop takings income
Completion of monthly Retail Gift Aid process
Reviewing and processing retail stock for bought in goods
Assisting with analysis and reconciliation of year end stock of donated goods
Commencement: As soon as possible
Closing date: Thursday 2nd March 2017
