Julia’s House is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and supports more than 140 families across Dorset and Wiltshire, in the community, at our two hospices and in families’ own homes.
Reporting to the Family Support Services Manager and based in our Wimborne nursing office, we are seeking an experienced manager from a therapeutic environment, who has strong people skills, with strategic planning and budget planning experience. You will have extensive experience of working in a Special Educational Needs setting and working therapeutically with sick children and their families. With excellent organisational and communication skills, you will also have proven involvement of working successfully in a multi-agency environment.

- NVQ 4 or higher level qualification in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent
- City and Guilds 7307 Certificate in Teaching Adult Learners or equivalent teaching course (or willingness to undertake and complete this qualification if appointed)
- Sound experience in alternative communication methods e.g. Sign-along, Makaton, Picture Exchanging Communication, Systems and Objects of Reference
- Evidence of safeguarding training to level 3 or above
A full driving licence and use of car for business purposes are also essential for this role. You will also need a flexible approach to working hours.
