This is a permanent position and can be based in either Dorset or Wiltshire, depending on the preference of the successful applicant. Our main office is in Poole, Dorset but we also have a temporary office in Amesbury, Wiltshire, until our new Hospice opens in Devizes, Wiltshire in Spring 2017. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential.
Julia’s House is the first children’s hospice in Wiltshire, providing practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. We tailor our care to the needs of each individual child and their family, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at our hospice.
Julia’s House has launched a three-year organisational strategy, making it an exciting time to be part of the charity. The strategy is based on developing our services across two counties – Dorset and Wiltshire, continuing to provide respite care to children and their families. We have big aspirations to ensure no child is turned away from our care and are looking to develop our fundraising team, to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
You will be experienced in the acquisition and the development of supporters, project managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver campaigns. This role reports into the Individual Giving Manager and is responsible for developing and delivering multi-channel programmes that acquire new supporters each year, to build the donor pipeline. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition campaigns to deadline and within budget - analysing data to guide future campaigns. Ideally you should have experience of planning and executing cross channel supporter acquisition campaigns including digital acquisition within a marketing or fundraising environment.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter and highly numerate with a good understanding of analysing and interpreting results. We are looking for someone with experience of growing a donor supporter base through multiple marketing channels including direct marketing, lotteries and digital marketing. In particular you will have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and possess a genuine passion to see Julia’s House succeed in achieving our objectives.
