Our Care Team Members provide frequent respite care to children with complex medical needs in their own homes and at our hospice in Devizes, Wiltshire. They get the chance to spend time with children and their families, really getting to know them, and creating wonderful memories.
The right candidates will have good flexibility to work particularly in the late afternoon (from 4pm), evenings, at weekends and during school holidays, as care is provided at the families’ request. Rotas are issued six weeks in advance.
We are offering permanent 20 hours per week contracts at a salary of £12,821 per annum (full time equivalent £22,437). We also offer an excellent pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
Successful applicants be required to do an induction which will be across Dorset and Wiltshire (late July). There is also a requirement to be available for mandatory training and staff meetings up to six days per year (9.00 am – 5.00 pm).

· Experience of working with children and undertaking personal care
· Experience of working with children with complex and continuing health needs e.g. autism, epilepsy
· Experience of working in special schools, giving one to one special care in mainstream schools or as a session worker, social care worker, child minder or health care support worker
A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential. All positions a subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
