Isla is three years old, and she was born very premature at just 24 weeks. Since then, Isla has spent a lot of her little life in hospital. As a result of being born so early, she needs to be attached to oxygen to help her breathe, has to be tube fed through her tummy, and she may never walk or talk like her big sister.
This makes life extremely challenging for their family. Simple pleasures, such as going out to enjoy a sunny summer’s day aren't always possible due to her complex needs. This is why Julia’s House is there for families like theirs, planning summer events where they don’t have to worry about anything, a rare chance for mum, dad and grandparents to relax and enjoy a precious break while their child and brothers and sisters have fun, in the safety of expert care from their familiar nurses and family support team throughout the day.
