Get ready to discover the wonders of Wiltshire’s prehistoric landscape on a challenging 26 mile walk through the most beautiful and unspoilt rural countryside.
This circular route begins in the picturesque village of All Cannings. You will set off along the Kennett and Avon Canal, before heading north towards the spectacular Round Way Down and remarkable Cherhill White Horse. You will pass through Avebury – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the greatest marvels of prehistoric Britain. At the finish line, you will be rewarded with the most spectacular panoramic views over the Vale of Pewsey. Celebrate your achievement by joining us for a hog roast and glass of prosecco, which will be waiting for you at the finish line!
26 miles - £30
Your registration fee helps to cover towards the costs of organising the event but it’s the money you raise that helps us to pay for the care and comfort of a local child and their family. We would love all our trekkers to try and raise a minimum of £200. This would pay for seven hours of care for a poorly child, and respite for an exhausted mum or dad.
The Great Wiltshire Walk is a mammoth 26-mile circular trek, starting and finishing at The Kings Arms in All Cannings.
The route will take in a variety of terrain with some very steep uphill and downhill sections but around every corner you will be rewarded with breath-taking views of the Wiltshire countryside.
