Run Bournemouth is the new name for the Bournemouth Marathon Festival. The name may have changed but this seaside event remains an irresistible combination of vibrant atmosphere, fresh air and fabulous views.
There’s plenty for all ages and fitness from the challenge of a half marathon to a Kids’ K – so your family can run for our families, how brilliant is that?
Choose from the half-marathon, 10k or 5k, the junior races or the new Dog Jog – yes, even the family pet can play their part in helping Julia’s House families!
Imagine finding out your child has an incurable disease and will die young. Now imagine that happening to two of your children. Lisa and Andy’s life was devastated when they discovered that Annabelle, 14, then Robbie, six, had Junior Battens Disease, a condition which has left them both blind and facing seizures and dementia.
“Nobody knows when their last day on earth will be which is why we need to live each day to the full,” said Lisa. “Every single day I think: is this the day the big seizure will come? It is agony to live with that. I can’t believe what has happened to our family, the impact on all of us.”
Will you run to help a family facing unimaginable heartbreak? Put on your running shoes and make a life-changing difference in 2020.
