Our popular coast trek just got family-friendly! The 13 and 26 mile routes will be joined by a new 5 mile loop past Old Harry Rocks, offering an easier option for children – and for dogs too!
The 26 mile trek starts at Lulworth Cove and walkers need to be prepared for some serious climbs and descents. The 13 mile trek will join at picturesque Worth Matravers and pick up one of the most scenic sections of the South West Coast Path.
All our routes finish in the magnificent grounds of Harry Warren House, with views over Old Harry Rocks and Studland’s famous sandy beaches. It’s the perfect spot for a post-walk celebration with a glass of Prosecco and our delicious hog roast.
Your entry includes:
- Fundraising support, ideas and tips
- Support walkers and a fully sign-posted route
- Qualified first aid and medical support
- Refreshment stops with water and snacks
- Free hog roast
- Glass of prosecco at the finish or soft drink for family 5 miles
- A medal for all finishers
- Julia’s House t-shirt
13 miles: £15
26 miles: £20
5 miles: Adult £10 / Child £7 / Family (2 adults, 2 children) £25
Remember: Your registration fee helps to cover towards the costs of organising the event - it’s the money you raise that makes the difference to our families.
We would love our trekkers to try and raise a minimum of £200 – enough to provide a whole day of care for a child like Willow, to give her family a much-needed break.
13 miles: 11am at Worth Matravers
26 miles: 7.30am at Lulworth Cove
5 miles: 12pm at Studland
New for 2020 - Family 5 miler
Dogs are very welcome and every child taking part in the family 5 miler will receive an activity sheet to make the walk even more of an adventure. If you raise more than £100 by 30th June 2020, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a family day out.
There is a hill climb in 5 mile route, making it unsuitable for very young children, pushchairs or wheelchairs.
13 and 26 mile Park & Trek
Leave your car at the finish and take our shuttle to the start. Transfers are £5 per person and must be booked in advance.
Be a Life Changer – your walk means a mum like Emily gets a walk too
When Willow started having life-threatening seizures her mum Emily worried a lot about leaving her. But thanks to people like you, we are there for Willow, giving her mum the confidence to take a break:
“We had our Julia’s House care at home – I used those hours to go on a lovely long walk, a chance for me and my dog, Sprout, to get right into the woods and really clear my head.”
Last year, thanks to our fundraisers, we looked after Willow so that Emily and Sprout could join their friends and take part in the Jurassic Coast Trek.
Make every step count and make a life-changing difference in 2020…
If any of our fundraising events need to be postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 Coronavirus, we will, of course, be offering an optional refund. We are doing all we can to keep our fundraising events running as usual within current Government guidelines. The care for local families and children is continuing – they need us now more than ever. Thank you for your support. Take care.
