Event Description

Following the success of last year, the Hospice to Hospice cycle is back! Join us on a challenging 100km or 200km cycle from our Dorset hospice in Corfe Mullen to Devizes, where we are building our new Wiltshire children’s hospice.

Sign up before 1st March 2017 to receive our early bird rate. You will also receive a FREE Julia’s House cycling jersey when you reach £200 sponsorship!

The cycle will begin at Corfe Hills School, Corfe Mullen and you will cycle through beautiful Dorset and Wiltshire countryside, refuelling at the grand country manor, Wilton House. The cycle will finish at Braeside Education Centre in Devizes, which is situated next to our newly refurbished Wiltshire hospice and the ideal spot for riders to bring along their families and friends to cheer them across the finish line! There will be a delicious hog roast and glass of prosecco for every rider and we will be offering tours round our new hospice so you can see how the money you raise will make a difference to the children and families we care for.

There will be transport available for you and your bike back to the start line (to be booked in advance for £5.00 per person)

Your entry includes:

  • A dedicated contact at Julia’s House, who will give you one-to-one support all the way

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FEES

Sign up before 31st March 2017 to receive our early bird rate.

100km    Early bird         £30

200km    Early bird         £35

Your registration fee helps to cover towards the costs of organising the event.  It’s the money you raise that helps us to pay for the care and comfort of a local child and their family.

We would love all our riders to raise a minimum of £300. This will pay for 10 hours care for a poorly child, and respite for an exhausted mum or dad – a chance for them to have a break or catch up on those little everyday tasks the rest of us take for granted.

We will send you a FREE Julia’s House cycling jersey when you reach £200 sponsorship.

The Route

The Hospice to Hospice Cycle has two routes. The 100km (62 miles) and the whopper 200km (124 miles) from our Hospice in Corfe Mullen to Devizes.

Both routes consist of undulating roads, challenging hill sections but also breath-taking views over Salisbury plain and you will cycle through some charming Wiltshire Villages. There are, as you would expect, some steeper and more challenging hill sections on the 200km route, but you’ll still cycle through stunning almost traffic free villages.

100km

Chip timing and support

Our ride will operate a professional chip timing system with both start and finish mats to ensure all cyclists get an accurate ride time. The event will be supported by a friendly and professional event team and there will be refreshment stops conveniently placed along the way for riders to refuel.
