Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong clinical leader to oversee all aspects of the care that Julia’s House provides. We are seeking an exceptional individual who is passionate about the work of this award-winning charity.

Julia’s House cares for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Dorset and Wiltshire; in our two hospices and in the children’s own homes. Our service is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and we are a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For and have received their award for 10 years’ contribution to better workplaces.


Essential requirements for the role:
  • Registered Nurse (RSCN/RN – Diploma or Degree)
  • ENB 998 or equivalent teaching and assessing course/mentorship course
  • Minimum five years’ experience as a team leader
  • Experience of caring for and working alongside families in their own environment
  • Experience of leading a remote skill-mix team
  • Evidence of strong leadership skills in developing services, including the development of systems to support these
  • Masters degree level (or working towards) is desirable  

The position is based at our Head Office in Poole and will cover our service throughout Dorset and Wiltshire. A relocation package may be available.  A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential.
