"Initially I was asked to be a patron of Julia’s house when I was expecting my first child some 7 years ago. As an expectant parent, all you want for your child is good health, and I can’t imagine how hard it must be to learn that your child has a health issue, and then have to deal with the day to day struggles of caring for your poorly child. You also want happiness for your children and often happy parents make happy children.
This is where Julia’s house does amazing work in supporting families, so they can make it through day to day, and week to week by providing amazing respite care and support. This makes a huge difference to the families and the siblings of the children at Julia's house.
Since then I have had twins, and I thought that was hard work, but speaking with mothers and fathers who are also carers for their children, the struggles I have day to day are nothing in comparison. If I can make a small difference to help raise awareness of this amazing charity and the work that they do, then that would be awesome."
