Ged became an Ambassador for Julia’s House in February 2020. Prior to this, Ged was responsible for our Corporate Fundraising activity in Wiltshire, a position he successfully held since 2015. This followed 30 years at Lloyds Banking Group in a variety of senior management and executive roles. Working at Lloyds took Ged across the UK, finally settling in Wiltshire in 1999 with his wife and son Sean, who was born in 2003.
As well as supporting Julia’s House, Ged is also Head of sponsorship for Wiltshire Cricket Ltd and in his spare time, Ged is a qualified cricket coach and professional cricket umpire.
After playing a major part from the beginning in the building of the first children's hospice in Wiltshire I was keen to continue in a worthwhile capacity and I was delighted when Julia’s House asked me to become an Ambassador for this truly inspirational charity. I am so proud to have been part of the journey in Wiltshire since 2015 and I am thrilled to be able to continue supporting the lives of so many families in Dorset and Wiltshire.
