Georgina Blore, who died at the age of 82 from cancer on St Valentine's Day this year, was a locally renowned artist in North London where she lived.

The aim of the sale of Georgina's paintings is to support the charities movement, with 50% of the profits going to Julia's House and the other 50% going to the Hospice movement in general.

Here's your chance to get into shape and raise money for Julia's House.

Personal trainer, Jango Alptekin, is holding three boot camp sessions on Boscombe Beach in September. Exercises will be suitable for all fitness abilities including sit-ups, squats, upper and lower body exercises and jogging in intervals. He will talk about healthy eating, nutrition and how you can change your life in a very short space of time.

For a minimum donation of £5 you can join in one of Jango's 45-minute Boot Camp Sessions at 10am on September 11th, 18th and 25th.

The award-winning Feast of Dorset family food festival is back at historic Deans Court, Wimborne - an enchanting location within 14 acres of gardens, lake, topiary and 500 year old tulip trees.

This is our exciting new event!

We have joined forces with two other local hospices, Lewis Manning and Friends of Forest Holme, to organise a 10k run/walk along Bournemouth seafront starting and finishing at the pier.

We are hoping for a 1,000 entrants and to raise about £40,000 between the three charities. If you are a regular runner or have always considered training for a 10k run then no excuses; put it in your diaries, dust off your trainers and ‘just do it’ as they say. Fun Runners very welcome too so fancy dress also an option.
