Corporate
There are endless ways that your company and your employees can support Julia's House. Whether through a large fundraising event, payroll giving, smaller ongoing activities such as cake sales or mufti dates, or donating much needed items and services, everything will help the Dorset children and families that need our help.

Every happy moment is precious, and so is every donation.
We need you!!
In 2011 we need companies in Dorset to help us hit our fundraising target, so that we can continue to provide vital support to local families who rely on us.

Adopt Julia's House as your Charity of the Year
Julia's House work with a variety of businesses across Dorset, together raising funds to keep our vital care service going. Have you considered adopting a charity of the year for your Business? This can be a lot of fun and help raise your Corporate reponsibility profile within the community.
Local to you, you will see first hand the impact your support has. We can help engage and motivate your employees and keep in regular contact with news of our activities and developments.
You can support us in so many ways:
- Hold your own Fundraising Event This is both fun and rewarding, some companies set up their own committee groups and recent events have included beach days, fitness challenges, quiz nights, mufti days, fashion shows and cycle rides to name but a few.
- We also run a number of Challenge events throughout the year, from abseiling Guys Hospital in London to running 10K along Bournemouth seafront. New for this year we have an It's a Knockout Challenge and we are looking for teams across Dorset to compete against each other.
- Volunteering opportunities are available at our various events throughout the year, anything from helping with collections at a show to helping behind the scenes at one of our balls
- Payroll Giving is such a powerful way of raising funds - bringing together small donations from a large number of colleagues to make a real difference, for example: If 60 employees donated just £5 a month through their payroll (less than the price of half a pint of beer each week), in a year this would add up to a massive £4320 for Julia's House! This would fund a part-time carer for 6 months! Companies may be eligible to apply to the Charities Aid Foundation for an award, which enables them to use a logo on their own letter heads demonstrating both the committment of the employer and the employees doing good.
If you are considering supporting Julia’s House as your charity of the year in 2011 we are always delighted to visit and give a short talk, please contact Caroline Gogan on 01202 607400 or email caroline.gogan@juliashouse.org for further information.
Hotel Support
If you own or work at a hotel, we would love to hear from you! There are various ways that hotels can support Julia's House and there doesn't have to be a cost to the hotel. These are just some of the ways you can involve your guests and staff in something fun whilst helping local families:
- Adding £1 to the guests' bill we can help with notices for display in the guests' rooms explaining the hotel's relationship with Julia's House, (this can be removed upon the request of the guest).
- Staff fundraising which could be entering a team into one of our Challenge events.
- Donations from additional surcharges, such as car-parking, wi-fi-access and cloakroom fees.
- Help with Prizes for our various auctions and raffles.
Please do get in touch if you would like to arrange a meeting, we can provide help with support material, in house press support and talks with your staff. Please contact Caroline.gogan@juliashouse.org or telephone 01202 607400
